TED India – The Future Beckons

TED India was a true celebration and showcase of the Indian culture and its national pride. The speakers shared stories that provided insight into India’s current pulse and inner workings. This was a very different TED, as was to be expected with a TED conference organized outside of California. In addition to the distinct Indian atmosphere and vibrant talks, the fact that 90% of the 800 attendees were first-time TED participants heightened the level of excitement, joy and engagement.
TED India was hosted at the Infosys campus, which Fortune magazine calls the Taj Mahal of training centers. The campus is the size of Disneyland — 15,000 trainees go through it annually — and looks like it in many places, as well. It was quite an amazing site to explore during our days there… although I was glad I brought along my skateboard to cover its expansive grounds.
India TED talks have started to appear on the TED site, so check it out to listen to some of the talks and learn more.
